Margaret T. Debler

Margaret T. Debler is a member of the firm's Board of Directors, concentrating her practice in the area of municipal law, including defending against defective sidewalk, road, public building claims, as well as allegations of negligent motor vehicle operation.  She specializes in defending police officers and other law enforcement officials against allegations of civil rights violations and has successfully taken these cases to trial in federal and state court.  Ms. Debler has also advocated her clients' interests in the Michigan Court of Appeals and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.  She has been appointed a Special Assistant Attorney General.  Before joining the firm in 1993, Ms. Debler acquired experience defending school districts throughout the state and spoke on search and seizure issues at local and national conferences.
